I have always been a savvy shopper. I have learned that if you research what you are buying and compare products ingredients or specs you will find many things way over priced simply because of the brand name recognition but actually compare exactly to a far more cheaper version.
Recently I decided to add on to my services the CND Shellac System. If you are not aware this is a Gel Nail Polish System that allows your polish to stay on for a guaranteed 21 days and it really works! Since CND has come out with this several other versions of the brand have also come out. I found a website http://www.uvnailpolish.com/ that lists all the best brands. What I learned was that I do not have to buy the $179 CND lamp because the curing process used can also be used with regular UV Nail dryers it just take a minute longer each process to cure. I checked on nextag.com and found the UV Nail Dryers 36 watts for as low as $32.96! I also decided to check my local supply stores to see if their deals would be any better to avoid shipping charges. The LOWEST priced light I could find was $79.95. My advice would to buy them online and find a site offering free shipping!
BOTTOM LINE: Save yourself some money by using price matching websites and start reading about the products you are using. If something else works the same and is cheaper in price then why not save your money!
